Bass Culture, established in October 2013, is known for its Dub and Reggae music, featuring strong bass and conscious lyrics. They've become a key part of sound system culture, offering performances that are more communal experiences than concerts. Hosting artists like Panda Dub and Alpha Steppa, they emphasize quality music and authentic sound, particularly through Malta's first Reggae sound system, the Island Rockers Sound System. Their upcoming appearance at the Bloom Festival is set to be an immersive mix of spiritual vibes and dance energy.

Re-Volt
Re-Volt is an original sound system style selector and founder of Back to the Roots Sound. We’re thrilled that he’ll be warming up for us and setting the vibe with his strictly vinyl selection of roots reggae and chill dub. Catch him at the Bloom Stage from 11:00 till 12:30
Mystical B is passionate about the raw instrumental sounds from the era that gave birth to reggae, including ska and rocksteady. She plans to highlight these with roots and early reggae tunes to maintain a positive atmosphere in the afternoon sun.
DJ Loco will be taking listeners on a specially selected journey of contemporary reggae tunes that have been at the center of some of the most memorable reggae events on the island.
Jono, a DJ synonymous with smooth a.f. selections will be changing things up with his wicked collection of hip-hop classics and old-school rap in a vinyl meets digital DJ set, as we start gearing up toward party mode.
Earthrocker
Earthrocker, dub selector, MC and the man behind Island Rockers Sound System, will be kicking off the Bass Culture session in the evening with a killer dub selection that's guaranteed to get the dancefloor going.
Yabadub, Bass Culture co-founder and resident selector will be delivering his signature selection of melodic and uplifting dub tunes driven by heavy basslines for an awesome sunset soundtrack as day turns into night.
Dubdaboon, founding member Of Bass Culture and resident DJ with Bass Culture, will take the dancefloor through a journey in dub that spans deep and meditative to fast and ravey with a healthy dose of uplifting energy for a dance under the stars.
The trio of Earthrocker, Yabadub & Dubdaboon will come together to deliver a bass-charged finale to the festival at the Bloom Stage this 4/20/2024! Prepare yourselves for a special Base Culture B2B under the stars, guaranteed to get you dancing into the night!!
